Biofa boasts a kind and colourful range of natural wall, ceiling and exterior paints. Free from toxins and fumes, they provide a safe, healthy backdrop to homes, offices and public buildings. As more and more people turn to natural products to protect the environment and create healthy, happy surroundings, Biofa is literally the natural choice for painters, decorators, architects and individuals decorating their homes.
Benefits of Biofa
· Made from renewable raw materials such as wood and linseed oils, wood resins, chalk, marble earth, clay, water, citrus peel oils, cellulose, casein, plant oils and plant alcohol
· Made without plastic copolymer thus greatly reducing electro-static that in turn attracts less dust – so a great choice for asthmatics and those with dust allergies and breathing related illnesses.
· Pleasant odour from natural plants and essential oils including orange, ylang ylang and lemon. So nicer to apply and fine for children to be around. Once the paint is dry, the odour fades.
· Kind to the environment: natural ingredients manufactured with the minimum of energy, recycled water
· Long lasting colour – like Michel-Angelo, the painter of the Sistine Chapel, if you want your colour to last, natural is the best choice!
· Left-over of emulsion paint is fully compostable so can be recycled with the household waste with a clear conscience
· No toxic petrochemicals
· Endless options – if one of the 300 colours doesn’t suit you, Biofa can mix to match a colour of your choice
· Approved by ECO ethical shopping guide and the Complementary Medicine Association (CMA)
Beauty of Biofa
The beauty of Biofa paint is that it is based on traditional ingredients and techniques. However, it uses modern manufacturing methods to ensure consistency of product and to meet today’s increasing professional demands.
Seal of Approval
Biofa is a well-established brand that has gained recognition from architects, builders, decorators and specifiers. A number of schools, restaurants, pubs, hospitals and public meeting places in the UK and Europe are painted with Biofa, proving the great confidence professional painters have in the range.
No Longer Niche
“Biofa is perfectly placed to meet the demands of consumers and businesses that are looking for modern colours and keen prices but who want to make an ethical, healthy and caring choice,” says Jerome Petit, co-founder of Biofa UK. “People are becoming more and more aware of their health and that of the planet. Natural paints go hand-in-hand with organic food and skincare. But, as with these products, most people will only take the natural, caring option provided there is no compromise on quality. Biofa natural paints meet the needs of our modern-day world, as they are ethical, professional, practical and affordable. And, let’s not forget Biofa’s primary purpose – it looks great on the walls too!’

Who Is Behind Biofa UK?
Jerome Petit and his business partner Laurent Robert set up Biofa UK, trading division of Villa Natura Ltd in July 2002. Jerome suffered eczema and other allergies as a child. One key aggravating factor was the paint sold in the family paint merchant shop and used in his parent’s home. Since re-painting his family home with Biofa natural paints 15 years ago, Jerome’s health ‘dramatically improved’. It is his dream that other allergy sufferers, asthmatics and anyone concerned with their health can opt for a top quality paint that is as colourful as it is caring.
